Why Does the Water Faucet Glow?

With the prevailing trend of LED, a good number of people tend to use LED including many areas, such as bulb, flashlight and so on. LED has many advantages over other lightings. First, it can make most use of the available light and doesn’t need to filter. Second, high energy conservation is a big advantage. Third, it has many colors. Fourth, it is much safer than others. Fifth, it has a long life. Last, it has a quick reaction. Let me introduce the basic theory of it in brief.

An LED (Light Emitting Diode) is a type of solid-state lighting. In keeping with the properties of a diode, electric current can only flow one direction through an LED. As the electrons cross from a material abundant in negative charge carriers to a material abundant in positive carriers, they lose a specific amount of energy, which results in photons of a particular wavelength.

Many new products of LED are being invented rapidly. Now a novel 3-Color Changing LED Water Glow Faucet Tap Light with Temperature Sensor comes into our sight. It is sensitive faucet light designed to provide a visual indication of water temperature. It can fits onto most taps and lights up a set of LED when you turn on the tap, transforming the stream of water into a beautiful waterfall of light.

Green LED lights when the water temperature is or below 30°C ( NOTE: There is no light if it is cold water)

Blue LED lights when the water temperature is between 30°C and 35°C

Red LED lights when the water temperature is between 35°C and 45°C

Last, LED light will flash to remind you the water temperature too high when it is above 45°C, it is convenient for us to know the water temperature.
