It Works after the Green Light Is Off
I was quite disappointed when I began testing it (http://www.tinydeal.com/w-px8ip2-p-3418.html) last afternoon. It is named “Security Alarm Siren with IR Motion Detector”. So naturally, it should be able to sense movement from people through infrared ray and react by screaming.
As an experienced user of gadgets, I knew to load batteries on the siren before using it. And when I saw a thin piece of film stabbed into the back of the remote control, I knew it was used to cut off the built-in silver zinc battery off. So I drew it out.
Pressing the button on the remote control, I heard a “beep” from the alarm and saw the green light on. That means the alarm and its infrared detector has started working, I thought.
Of course I did some movement before the alarm, waiting for the blew. No it did not make any sound. What’s wrong? I press the button on the remote control to shut and start the alarm again. But it still couldn’t sense my motion. I repeated what I’d done for about 10 minutes, without no difference made.
I went downstairs to ask the QC guy for help. He was not in the office. I got back.
I started up the alarm again, looking at it in a wondering manner for some seconds. Miracle appeared. The green light turns off itself. I wondered why and was going to take it for a look. And then the red light glitters several times, before the alarm made sound.
OK, all is clear now. You press the remote control to turn on the green light first. When the green light is off, the detector starts working. If there is any motion, the red light glitters and then the siren screams. It works like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_IzOHqhiwE).
