The speculations that the white iPhone 4 would be released today was true. Apple officially announced that it begins selling the white iPhone today, April 28. But a few lucky people in Italy and Belgium already got their hands on the elusive white unicorn phone, but U.S. buyers were forced to wait a little longer.
The phone will be available from Apple’s online store, at Apple’s retail stores, and at AT&T and Verizon Wireless stores, as well as select Apple Authorized Resellers.
Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, Philip Schiller, said the “The white iPhone 4 has finally arrived and it’s beautiful.” He said Apple appreciates everyone’s patience while they “worked to get every detail right.” The wait he mentioned? That was about 10 months, so the least Schiller can do is thank his customers for waiting.
The white iPhone will be available for the same price as the black model: $199 for the 16GB model, and $299 for the 32GB model with a new two year agreement.
