Angry Birds Updated, Just in Time for Easter

Easter egg hunts have always been somewhat of a tradition on Easter Day. But today you are allowed to hunt these eggs on a more excited virtual platform. That’s right, Easter eggs are hidden throughout the game of Angry Birds, unlocking cool features and such for you to devour upon.

After continuous exposure on public via pictures and video online, finally this Easter edition of Angry Birds has been sold on the market officially. Sure enough, version 1.4.0 just roosted in the App Store, bringing with it 15 new levels for everybody’s favorite chocolate-infused holiday (besides Halloween): Easter.

As Angry Birds fans know, this is becoming a regular happening. After Angry Birds Halloween made its debut last year, developer Rovio followed up with free Christmas-themed levels and changed the app’s name to Seasons. In February, things turned romantic with new Angry Birds levels for Valentine’s Day. In March, the Birds celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with more new levels. And, here we are, just a month later, with pigs wearing bunny ears.

As with all previous updates, this one is free. If you’re new to Angry Birds, the 99-cent app comes with all five holidays’ worth of levels around 15 in all, by my count. Angry Birds Seasons 1.4.0 is available for Android, iPhone/iPod, and iPad. And while we’re on the subject of Easter, be sure to check out these six egg-cellent Easter apps for iOS.

The details for the update are as follows:

  • Find all the Golden Eggs and uncover fun rewards…
  • More levels — Unlock new game levels while hunting for all the eggs!
  • Special interactive scenes — Discover new riddles and twists!
  • Angry Birds Soundboard — you’ll never be without your favorite bird sounds again!
  • Updated Crystal Features — lets you flaunt your high scores and achievements.
  • Angry Birds Rating Tool — Tell us what you think of the game.
  • Performance Optimization — Runs smoother than ever before at a steady 60 frames per second on iPhone 3GS devices!

What is changed or updated for Angry Birds?

The most impressive change may fall into the background, which is lovely and cute. The eggs birds guard and protect are decorated into colorful eggs, which is suitable to Easter atmosphere. In the previous version — Angry Birds Rio, green pigs who are the enemies of angry birds are replaced by parrots. For the fans of green pigs, it is a good news since in this Easter version green pigs will come and perform again. They wear bunny ears, which looks cute and accords with Easter theme.

Angry Birds itself is not a new game and it is not difficult to pass through, unless your want to pass all levels with only one bird. You can begin the journey anytime after manage the basic skill. At present the free version of Angry Birds has been listed on Android Market. However, at the same time it is attacked by different kinds of advertisement while playing games.

In the version, angry birds have to destroy all the construction and wipe out the green pigs, which are their task as well as the wish of players. When comes to a certain checkpoint, players will meet a shining golden egg, which means they get the doorkey to enter the next level. Now this game has been listed on Android and iOS platform. If you are interested in this Angry Birds Season, set up your cell phone to download now.
